Looking Back, Looking Forward
The abundance of Stowe shines year round. We wanted to look back and remember the dynamic seasons of 2022, as well as highlight what we are looking forward to in the often underrated month of January- even after the glitter of the holidays fades, Sun and Ski continues to be a Winter Wonderland.
The 2022 Seasons of Stowe
Spring brings renewal, like this perennial hyacinth breaking through the snow. The air is still cold and the lifts are still running, but the ground is awakening and blooming again.
In the warm months of Summer, the little river behind our property provides a tranquil respite for contemplation, conversation, and play.
In Fall, Stowe erupts in color as the glory of turning leaves surrounds us. This is the season for foliage drives and crisp walks in the warm light of autumn.
Snow dustings begin in November, and before long Stowe is aglow with the festive warmth and excitement of early Winter.
January at Sun and Ski
Consider our condo style lodging for your winter trip, just minutes from the Stowe Mountain lifts! These outposts offer extra space and amenities, and are an excellent option to maximize both comfort, and time spent on the slopes.
If you love snow like we do, January is one of the best months to be active in Stowe. Ski the slopes of Stowe Mountain, or bike the miles of wooded trails on our property to get your fill of snowy, sporty paradise.
After a stint in the snow, nestle in and warm up at The Eatery at Stowe Bowl with some loaded mac n’ cheese, wings, and a craft cocktail.
Stowe shows off its Winter Majesty in January ❄️From The Winter Rendezvous (Stowe’s 40th annual LGBTQ Winter Pride Festival), to Cookies and Cocoa at Stowe Mountain Resort every Saturday, there are activities and events for all ages throughout the month. Don’t miss the ice sculpture competitions at Stowe Winter Carnival, an extravaganza that Country Living ranked as the #2 Winter festival in the U.S.!

2022 has been a fun and fulfilling year for us here at Sun and Ski. December always brings a welcome wave of reflection and appreciation, and we want to thank everyone who has come to spend time with us this year! We have loved having you and getting to share our beloved property and little town of Stowe. See you in 2023!
